It will require them to log in to their work or school account, and it will tie their name to any changes made to the file. It means the link will work for anyone else who works at your organization.

Using a shared password is slightly more secure than just a link that works however, the password is typically in the same message as the link, which means if it is forwarded to someone nefarious, that person can still do significant harm.
